Carrefour Group, one of the world’s largest retailers, needed a highly scalable virtual data room to support due diligence for its plan to acquire 126 retail galleries and create Carmila, while also raising about 1 billion euros from institutional investors. The company chose IntraLinks after seeing the vendor’s VDR in use during the seller’s due diligence, and wanted a platform that could handle large files, legal documents, and a complex cross-border transaction.
IntraLinks implemented its VDR for the Carmila fundraising project, providing a user-friendly, secure, and scalable environment for document sharing and investor access. Carrefour Group said the platform was easy to navigate, supported Q&A and content tracking, and handled the deal without technical issues; as a result, Carrefour Group successfully raised the needed funds and completed the transaction efficiently.
