Oracle streamlines requirements management for 90+ requirements with Intland Software

Oracle, a key participant in the Java Community Process, faced collaboration challenges while developing JSR 289 alongside other major companies. The project's Spec Leads struggled with transparency and traceability while managing over 90 requirements using only MS Word and email among dozens of expert group members.

Intland Software implemented its codeBeamer ALM platform, using its Wiki for requirement collection and its tracking system for issues. The solution was quick to deploy and easy for all members to use, enabling efficient filing and tracking of issues as well as collaborative discussions. As a result, Intland Software helped the project achieve improved transparency, traceability, and milestone planning, culminating in a publicly hosted site and a strong endorsement from the Specification Lead.
