Trony, an Italian retail conglomerate operating 190 stores through a 15-company consortium, needed to unify its group e-commerce and deliver a true omni-channel experience with real-time inventory visibility across 15 ERP systems, stores and warehouses. To achieve fast, cost-effective home delivery and a single-brand online presence, Trony engaged Intershop and adopted the Intershop Commerce Suite along with its PIM and media capabilities.

Intershop delivered a centrally coordinated commerce platform (implemented with partner SMC Consulting) using rule-based order management, geographic modelling and deep ERP integration to link stores and warehouses in real time. The solution routes orders to the best fulfillment location, updates stock automatically and supports rich product content and search; it launched in six months and today about 40% of online orders are shipped by geographically relevant subsidiaries, producing significant logistics efficiencies, faster fulfilment and a unified omni-channel customer experience.
