ELKJØP, Scandinavia’s leading electronics retailer with about 8,000 employees and 300 stores across eight markets, needed a fast, scalable and localizable e‑commerce solution to expand online across languages, currencies and national sites. After evaluation it selected Intershop and its Enfinity Suite 6 to provide a standardized but flexible platform to launch and grow its web stores.
Intershop implemented a central Enfinity-based platform to manage product and customer data, logistics, payments and country-specific storefronts, enabling a customer-friendly multi-channel experience. With Intershop’s Enfinity Suite 6, ELKJØP now operates in six languages and five currencies, handles peaks of ~2.4 million weekly visitors and ~35,000 weekly orders, and has increased online sales by 733% since 2006 while improving stability, security, cost efficiency and international expansion.
