Ehlert (Gustav Ehlert GmbH & Co. KG), a nearly 100‑year‑old wholesaler for food‑production supplies with 40,000 listed articles (18,000 immediately available), faced the challenge of digitalizing procurement: establishing a digital distribution channel for consumables, delivering a consistent omnichannel brand experience, and enabling customers to negotiate prices and place orders online. After outgrowing a limited Magento shop, Ehlert chose Intershop as its B2B commerce platform to meet these needs.

Intershop migrated Ehlert from Magento and delivered an integrated solution—OCI punch‑out to the ERP, Perfion PIM for product management, and Qlik Sense for BI—that now processes over 85,000 individual price lists and 750 suppliers. Intershop’s implementation expanded the online catalog, centralized price negotiation and ordering, streamlined order processing, and set up the foundation for subscription ordering, predictive reordering and data‑driven cross‑selling.
