Heutink, a century-old Netherlands-based supplier of educational supplies, faced complex B2E requirements and intense seasonal peaks: today it lists about 30,000 products online, processes roughly 130,000 transactions a year and sees up to 150 orders (5,000 order lines) per hour in peak season. To stay relevant, consolidate multiple shops and better serve diverse customers with complex account management and licensing needs, Heutink chose to replatform using the Intershop Commerce Platform.
Intershop, together with implementation partner De Nieuwe Zaak, migrated Heutink to a centralized, private-cloud commerce platform with personalized portals, CMS and marketing integrations and performance tuning. Intershop helped resolve performance issues in time for peak season, enabling the platform to handle heavy traffic and order volumes, improve customer self-service and increase share of wallet — while giving Heutink a future-proof foundation to continue improving customer experience and scale its digital sales.
