Martin & Servera’s subsidiary Galatea, a leading Swedish beverage wholesaler, needed to digitally transform its B2B sales model and create a more convenient, B2C-like shopping experience for demanding business customers. Before the project, orders were handled only by email, phone, and fax, limiting convenience and growth. Galatea also wanted to strengthen brand development and better reach both B2B buyers and end consumers. Intershop’s Commerce Platform was used as the basis for the new digital channel.

Intershop implemented a new website on the Intershop Commerce Platform with strong B2B commerce features, self-service tools, and consumer-facing content, while Martin & Servera managed it centrally through the parent company’s scalable platform. The webshop launched in just six months, on time and within budget, despite the pandemic. Galatea now offers 24/7 ordering, customer-specific pricing, order and delivery overviews, and rich product information, helping improve customer satisfaction and supporting future growth; the company aims for 80% of orders to move online within one year.
