Gebrüder Limmert, a long-established Austrian electrical wholesaler (founded 1924, ~€90M revenue), needed to relaunch a cleaner, faster, mobile-first online shop capable of handling 1.3 million products and showing real-time product availability via their ERP. They engaged Intershop and chose the Intershop Commerce Platform to deliver a powerful B2B e‑commerce foundation and ERP integration.
Intershop implemented a full relaunch on the Intershop Commerce Platform with features such as customer-specific pricing, product‑specific surcharges, residual stock management, role-based accounts, and seamless SHCware ERP integration, plus support for a barcode re‑order app. The new site (launched September 2017) now exposes >1.3 million products, is fully responsive on mobile and tablet, provides real‑time availability and streamlined order/RMA workflows, enables sub‑accounts and dynamic product content, and reduces manual ordering errors—improving speed, accuracy and mobile usability for Gebrüder Limmert.
