Kruitbosch Zwolle, a family-owned bike wholesaler and brand owner (Cortina, Alpina) with some 2,500 dealers and €95M revenue in 2018, needed to replace a legacy Windows ordering system with a real-time, scalable online dealer portal that could support multiple brands, integrate with ERP, preserve the fast intuitive UX dealers expected, and improve collaboration, customer satisfaction and margins. Guided by partner De Nieuwe Zaak, Kruitbosch chose the Intershop Commerce Platform from vendor Intershop.

Intershop delivered a highly scalable commerce platform with extensive B2B and B2C features, fully integrated with Kruitbosch’s ERP and supporting a mapped customer journey with personalized product recommendations; the new React-based front end enables fast ordering and features like bill-of-material lookup/scan for immediate parts ordering. As a result, the portal rolled out in 2018 reached almost 90% of all orders placed online (covering 23,000 SKUs across 2,500 dealers), improved dealer self-service, increased customer satisfaction and contributed to higher sales and margins—outcomes made possible by Intershop’s solution.
