Intershop enables Stadium to adapt to changing market requirements

Stadium, a leading sporting goods retailer with stores in Sweden, Finland and Denmark, set out in 2005 to build an ambitious multi‑channel e-commerce platform that would mirror its in‑store experience, support sport‑specific sites, integrate with purchasing, stock and PIM systems, and deliver services like click‑and‑collect. To meet these complex requirements Stadium selected Intershop and implemented Intershop’s Enfinity Suite 6 with implementation support from Intershop partner Brightstep.

Intershop’s solution was delivered as a phased, multi‑site rollout (www.stadium.se went live in 2007) and integrated Enfinity Suite 6 with as many as 44 back‑office and payment systems, ERP and warehousing, plus in‑store kiosks, mobile site customization and targeted email follow‑ups. The results were strong: Stadium now sees about one million visitors per month, achieved 100% year‑on‑year online sales growth, expanded e‑commerce into Finland and Denmark, and reports a stable, scalable platform — outcomes attributed to Intershop and its partner Brightstep.
