elero, a leading manufacturer of electric drives with around 400 employees and €86M turnover, needed a tailored B2B partner portal to help specialist dealers understand and order its specialized products, reduce time-consuming telephone support and dealer authorizations, and ensure efficient, up-to-date processes via deep integration with internal systems. To meet these goals elero selected Intershop and its Intershop Commerce Platform / Commerce Management as the basis for a partner shop that would offer anytime, any-device access and a custom user experience.
Intershop, together with partner Experts in Motion, built a digital B2B customer portal integrating Akeneo PIM and the INFOR AIS ERP system, added a product configurator and Google Analytics, and consolidated product information via REST imports. The Intershop solution was pilot-ready in about six months and enabled partners to compile and order complete product sets more quickly and accurately, view orders across touchpoints, increase online sales of standard products and reduce reliance on telephone consultations—delivering faster workflows and improved dealer self-service for elero.
