Daily Fresh Food enjoys sustainable growth with Intershop

Daily Fresh Food, the largest supplier of fresh products in the southern Netherlands serving over 600 business customers, needed to move to an exclusively online ordering model while delivering B2C usability and B2B account features (budgets, roles, rights), always-consistent pricing, and the ability to handle very large orders of more than 1,500 line items. To meet these challenges they partnered with Intershop and adopted the Intershop Commerce Platform (including a Progressive Web App and ERP integration).

Intershop implemented a persona-oriented, scalable e‑commerce solution with real‑time ERP integration, an upgrade to Intershop Commerce Platform v7.10 and a PWA, and a migration to a hybrid SQL Server environment—delivered with partner support—enabling a relaunch in under 80 working days. The result: 98% of orders are now received online, €60 million in sales in 2018, about 6 million meals a year, sub‑second load times even for very large orders, significant cost and efficiency gains, and a platform primed for future growth.
