A convenient shopping experience for B2B customers

CWS International, a global provider of textile services and washroom hygiene solutions (1.24 billion euros revenue in 2020, 11,000 employees), faced the challenge of delivering role-specific product, service and pricing experiences for B2B customers while integrating numerous proprietary and third-party systems, providing a centralized back-end for store users, and ensuring scalability and performance for multi-country roll-out. To meet these needs CWS engaged Intershop and its Intershop Commerce Platform.

Intershop implemented a tailored solution using the Intershop Commerce Platform with an extended B2B module, individually configured key-account stores, single sign-on, ERP/CRM integrations and IoT connectors (e.g., fill-level monitoring). The deployment automated e-billing, streamlined customer data and procurement processes, and now supports high order volumes, complex shipping/VAT/quoting scenarios and international scaling—delivering a more convenient, customer-specific shopping experience and enabling CWS’s continued digital transformation.
