4Care GmbH, part of the MyOptique Group and operator of Lensbest.de, is a leading omnichannel supplier of contact lenses, care products and eyewear serving more than one million customers. Facing a shift to mobile commerce, growing online demand (30% sector growth in 2014) and the need for clearer backend transparency and easier shop administration, 4Care elected to upgrade from Intershop 6.3 to the latest Intershop omnichannel platform to better support mobile buying and targeted marketing.

Intershop, with implementation partner dotSource, migrated 4Care to Intershop 7.3 within a year and delivered responsive design, dynamic loading, standardized APIs, product-structure optimizations and multi‑client administration across 11 shops. The solution enabled faster mobile ordering, lower data volumes, simpler product maintenance, targeted promotions via the Intershop Promotion Engine and improved backend efficiency and transparency for administrators; Lensbest subsequently won a shop usability award and is better positioned for continued growth under Intershop.
