MPLS network helps home builder lower its own cost of moving

Signature Homes, a residential builder in the Sacramento and San Francisco Bay regions that has built over 6,000 homes across 70+ communities, faced recurring telecom headaches from the transient nature of its business. Constantly opening and closing sales and construction offices meant frequent phone moves and high management overhead on an on‑premises PBX that was inflexible, time-consuming for a small IT team, and required carriers to be scheduled months in advance.

Signature Homes moved to West IP Communications’ VoiceMaxx cloud voice platform using its existing Cisco phones, switching to per‑user pricing and eliminating most costly PRI lines and self‑managed maintenance. The change cut phone costs by about 50%, enabled new offices and remote workers to be provisioned in a day, preserved (and increased) the value of Cisco equipment, and delivered smooth user adoption through training and strong project management.
