Case Study: Methode Electronics achieves reliable, secure networking with InterCall managed services

A InterCall Case Study

Preview of the Methode Electronics Case Study

Electronics manufacturer finds value in West IPC MPLS & security services

Methode, a Chicago-based manufacturer of custom-engineered electronics (including biometric ID systems and solid-state touch switches), faced a deteriorating, piecemealed communications environment after shifting parts of production overseas. Aging, failing servers, a patchwork WAN (Verizon, AT&T, XO), unreliable anti-spam controls and limited internal network staff were causing service interruptions and administrative headaches.

West IP Communications deployed its MAXXIS Application Network to consolidate and prioritize voice, video and data, added managed MaxxSecure security services (spam filtering, intrusion detection/prevention, VPN, antivirus and web filtering), and provided colocation and NOC support plus help managing Cisco Call Managers and VPNs for international sites. The result was stronger, more reliable network performance with fewer outages, faster issue resolution via West IPC’s NOC, and relief for Methode’s IT team to focus on core business priorities.
