LA 411, part of the Variety magazine family, needed a way to reach busy, hard-to-reach film and television executives worldwide to share timely information about production incentives and special opportunities. Starting in 2009, the small magazine launched a bimonthly webcast series and occasional onsite streams from major festivals to maintain visibility and connect producers, commissioners and industry experts.
Using InterCall’s Webcast Studio—self-service for routine webcasts and white‑glove managed services for live festival coverage—LA 411 built landing pages, ran interactive Q&A, and relied on Event Services for production. The result: consistent attendance (300–500 live viewers plus archived viewers), international reach, stronger industry relationships, measurable engagement, and a cost‑effective way to expand the magazine’s relevance and profile.
