CGI Technologies, a global IT and business services firm with 71,000 professionals in 40 countries, faced a sudden drop in registrations for its annual Client Technology Forum and canceled the in-person event three months out due to customer budget cuts. With the Forum serving as both a lead-generation and product-education vehicle, CGI needed an alternative that avoided travel but preserved the event’s interactivity and reach.

CGI partnered with InterCall to build a live, feature-rich virtual Forum in just two months, mirroring the physical event across 32 concurrent sessions (recorded and available five minutes after airing) and using graphics, video booths, messaging, polls, and lead-scoring analytics. The result: more than 1,400 live attendees plus 300 archived viewers, sales up over 35%, doubled penetration into customer accounts, higher booth engagement, deeper access to influencers and decision makers, and the ability to track attendee behavior for targeted follow-up.
