Speak is a subscription-based app from Speakeasy Labs that helps learners practice English through AI-powered conversation simulations. Facing the challenge of acquiring long-term, high-value subscribers, the brand aimed to boost recurring subscriptions and trial starts via Instagram.

To do that, Speak partnered with Korean illustrators and ran branded content ads alongside Automated App Ads, using the Facebook SDK and an offline conversion lift study to track installs and subscriptions and optimize for high-value users. The campaign delivered a 49% increase in recurring subscriptions, a 2.4x lift in first-time subscribers, and a 2.8x lift in “start trial” events.
