Norwegian Air, a major European low-cost carrier, ran a social video campaign to raise awareness and consideration for its New York routes. The challenge was to make the brand stand out across local markets and invite travelers to experience the sights of New York while driving measurable lifts in awareness.
The airline developed a scalable vertical video format—mixing produced footage, user-generated content and local soundtracks—tailored by language, landmarks and calls-to-action for each market, and ran it on Instagram and Facebook optimized for reach and video views. The campaign delivered strong results: a 95% increase in brand awareness in the UK, 79% in Spain and 58,000 additional searches for the brand and UK routes.
