Nasty Gal, the Los Angeles–rooted online fashion retailer, aimed to boost brand awareness and sales intent among fashion‑conscious young women in the US and UK. The challenge was to put its diverse clothing range at the forefront of consideration and to test the effectiveness of dynamic ad formats on brand awareness and purchase intent versus a control group.

Nasty Gal ran a four‑week Instagram campaign using dynamic ads (video, image and carousel) to retarget site/app visitors with Custom Audiences and reach new customers via broad audience targeting. The campaign drove traffic to its website and app and delivered strong results: +12 points in purchase intent (UK), +9 points in purchase intent (US), +18 points in ad recall (UK) and +7 points in brand awareness (US).
