Lucozade Sport, part of the Suntory portfolio and a long-standing UK leader in sports drinks, wanted to boost reach, relevance and resonance for its product and brand messaging during the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The challenge was to drive awareness and make the brand feel relevant to active consumers and football fans.
Lucozade Sport partnered with the England women’s team and ran video-first, mobile-optimized ads across Instagram and Facebook to link product and lifestyle messaging. The campaign reached 6 million people and delivered a 6.9-point lift in ad recall, a 4.3-point lift in campaign awareness and a 1.5% increase in agreement that Lucozade Sport fits an active lifestyle, outperforming regional benchmarks.
