Hapa Kristin is a South Korean beauty brand that sells coloured contact lenses online to a global audience. As it expanded into the US, the brand needed a high-impact, attention-grabbing campaign to build awareness, drive interest and increase site traffic among its target audience.
Hapa Kristin created branded GIF stickers on GIPHY and used them as stickers in Instagram Stories, polling sticker ads, and to highlight CTAs in feed and Stories, running interactive polls and targeting US women 18–34 with automatic placements and campaign budget optimization. Over a ten-day campaign in March 2020 this approach delivered 50% more landing page views, a 33% lower cost per landing page view, a 1.3x increase in click-through rate and 17% more people reached versus a similar campaign without GIF stickers.
