Dii Supplements, a Southeast Asian health brand that began as a spa and expanded into supplements in 2017, aimed to reach more women, educate them about its Dii No. 6 Venus product, and drive more sales. Selling through retail and major e-commerce marketplaces, the company needed a way to increase engagement and start direct conversations with prospective customers.

Dii ran a 10-week A/B test of video ads across Meta, comparing ads that click to Messenger with ads that click to Instagram Direct (both routing conversations to Messenger or Instagram Direct and targeting Thai women 35+ interested in family planning). The Instagram Direct–inclusive approach drove better performance: 23% higher incremental reach, 22% more attributed conversations, and a 5% lower cost per result versus Messenger-only ads.
