Azadea, the retail group behind a new online marketplace for fashion, home, beauty and more, wanted to determine whether adding Instagram Reels ads to its existing Instagram and Facebook campaigns could boost awareness and drive UAE shoppers to buy summer essentials online. The company worked with Instagram alongside its media agency to test the format as part of its upper-funnel marketing goals.
Instagram implemented a standalone Reels ads campaign, paired with Stories placement, using short, organic-style creative developed with Facebook Creative Shop. The two-week campaign in the United Arab Emirates exceeded expectations, delivering a 9.7% lift in ad recall, a 2.4% increase in top-of-mind awareness, and a 3.1% rise in purchase intent for Azadea.
