Peugeot, one of Europe’s largest automotive manufacturers, needed a better way to deliver personalized content during the pre-purchase process. The company wanted to improve digital marketing efficiency and the customer experience while helping more website visitors move toward booking a test drive.
Using Insider’s exit intent technology, Peugeot showed customized messages on car product pages to micro-segmented visitors based on their preferences as they were about to leave the site. The messages promoted current campaigns or test drive signup forms, and within the first 20 days test drive form fills increased by 120% on average. Over the campaign lifetime, Peugeot sold 11 cars.
