Al Arabiya, a Saudi-owned pan-Arab television news channel based in Dubai, wanted to increase pageviews and click-through rates for new users on its desktop and mobile web article pages. The company was already personalizing content for existing users, but it needed a way to identify the interests of new visitors and recommend relevant articles more effectively.
Using Insider’s AI-backed Recommendation Engine, Al Arabiya began showing personalized article recommendations to both new and existing users based on behavioral data and reading habits. Insider also helped optimize where recommendations appeared on the article page. The result was a 54% uplift in CTR on mobile, adding 974,387 pageviews, and a 200% CTR boost on desktop, adding 788,466 pageviews.
