Case Study: Finnair achieves more reliable flight data with Innofactor

Finnair modernized its flight data collection and integration system

Finnair, one of the world's oldest operating airlines, faced challenges with its vital Traffic system for flight data collection and integration. The legacy system required intensive maintenance and produced overlapping data from multiple sources, creating reliability issues for critical operational and financial reporting. They partnered with vendor Innofactor (which acquired Invenco during the project) to modernize the system using Informatica, an Oracle database, and a Java interface.

Innofactor implemented a modernized data platform that consolidated information, applied business logic, and allowed for manual corrections. The project was completed on schedule and slightly under budget within a tight five-month timeframe. The new solution delivered by Innofactor is simpler and more reliable, resulting in significantly higher-quality data that makes daily work easier for employees and increases operational efficiency.
