Swiggy partnered with InMobi to drive high-quality mobile user acquisition across seven major Indian metros (Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune). The challenge was to scale app installs while reaching specific high-value personas—millennials, upscale residence dwellers, shopping enthusiasts, business-park employees and data-savvy users—without wasting spend.

InMobi deployed a data-driven strategy using audience insight, advanced and predictive targeting and precise polygon mapping, plus appographic (e.g., Wynk, Truecaller), time (weekend afternoons/nights) and location targeting around malls, tech parks and upscale residences. Creative formats like cinemagraphs, animated GIFs and landscape video boosted engagement, delivering 2.6x more installs with 17% lower cost per install and 6% lower cost per user acquired.
