Vai de Bus, a Brazilian public transportation ticketing company, wanted to simplify ticket purchases and card top-ups for passengers without forcing them to download a new app or complete extra registration. Using Infobip’s conversational commerce capabilities on WhatsApp, the company addressed the challenge of making payments easier and reducing drop-offs caused by the PIX copy-and-paste flow.
Infobip helped Vai de Bus build a passenger-centric buying experience directly in WhatsApp, which is already installed on nearly all phones in Brazil. The results were strong: 98% of passengers opted in to the payment option, payment-on-WhatsApp purchases achieved an 85% conversion rate, and recurring purchases grew by 17%.
