Proximity Designs needed a widely used way to reach geographically dispersed smallholder farmers in rural Myanmar with timely, relevant agricultural knowledge, but patchy mobile data made reliable outreach difficult. The organization turned to Infobip’s Viber Business Messages and SMS to connect with farmers, share crop-specific guidance, and enable two-way dialogue.
Infobip helped Proximity Designs use Viber channels tailored to different crops, making the information more relevant and accessible for small farm families. The effort generated more than 32,000 signups for crop-specific channels and 236,000 signups for the Viber Business Messages channel, supporting Proximity Designs’ goal of serving one million small farm families in the next three years.
