OTP Bank Introducing SSMS for PIN delivery

OTP Bank needed a mobile‑centric, secure and regulatory‑compliant way to automate PIN delivery and win younger customers who prefer fast, familiar digital experiences. To meet these requirements the bank partnered with Infobip to deploy its SSMS (Secure SMS PIN delivery) service for PIN delivery and card activation.

Infobip implemented customized SSMS flows, including a direct connection to the National Bank of Serbia and rapid deployment for EXIT Festival prepaid cards. The Infobip platform delivered a fully automated PIN process with near‑real‑time activation, helping OTP Bank acquire over 3,000 new customers during the four‑day festival and generating fewer than 100 call‑center issues; the solution was subsequently rolled out bank‑wide and replicated for other co‑branded cards.
