BFree is a tech-driven credit management company in Africa that helps lenders recover unpaid loans through a customer-centric, data-led approach. The company was struggling with fragmented communication channels, unreliable SMS delivery, no voice campaign capabilities, and regulatory complexity across markets, which led to missed recoveries and lower customer satisfaction. It turned to Infobip and its omnichannel communication platform to improve borrower outreach.

Infobip implemented integrated SMS and Voice with IVR capabilities, connecting its APIs into BFree’s CRM and workflows within days. The new setup enabled automated, multilingual, behavior-based borrower journeys, better reporting, and more targeted agent routing. As a result, BFree achieved SMS engagement rates above 70%, prequalified up to 40% of borrowers through IVR before human contact, and scaled campaigns to reach up to 4 million customers at once.
