Transforming HP Software's Customer Experience With Advocacy

HP Software’s Service Portfolio Management Customer Success team, led by Chris Peltz, needed a scalable way to maintain personal connections with thousands of IT Service Management (ITSM) customers, increase renewals, and surface timely product feedback. The challenge was turning company-level references into ongoing, individual relationships that would educate customers about new products and give HP a direct channel for insights.

They launched the HP ITSM Insiders advocate program using Influitive’s AdvocateHub, rolling out a fast pilot that grew to more than 1,000 advocates in about ten months. The program drove engagement and measurable outcomes — 470+ educational challenges completed, 1,000+ survey responses, 2,120+ social messages, hundreds of blog comments and strong event participation (70% at an ITSM forum) — helping HP boost product awareness, gather actionable feedback, amplify customer voices, and scale advocacy into other business units.
