Procore, a leading provider of cloud-based applications for the construction industry, needed more qualified sales leads from satisfied customers to fuel growth. To build stronger connections before asking for favors, they launched the Builder’s Club advocate marketing program to engage passionate users and encourage professional referrals.

Builder’s Club educated advocates on what makes a good referral through “Welcome” webinars, offered an ongoing referral portal, ran contests and campaigns, and pushed a referral email-signature initiative integrated with Salesforce. The effort drove over 1,000 referrals (nearly 200 in one month), resulted in 43 new customers, with 800+ referrals actively in progress—winning Procore the 2017 award for Best Referral Program.
