Case Study: Cisco achieves 55,000+ tweets and wide advocate-driven content amplification with Influitive

A Influitive Case Study

Preview of the Cisco Case Study

Cisco - Customer Case Study

Cisco, the global IT company, faced the challenge that IT professionals rely on peer recommendations rather than vendor messaging. To amplify authentic advocacy, Cisco sought to incentivize its growing community of advocates—called Cisco Champions—to share expertise and talk about the brand across social channels and professional networks.

Cisco launched the Cisco Champions program to offer skill development, networking and visibility opportunities—inviting advocates to contribute to company blogs, join #CiscoChat, appear in Engineers Unplugged videos and the weekly podcast—and rewarding them with exclusive events, product sneak peeks, recognition and direct access to top engineers. The program drove strong engagement: 55,000+ tweets, 200+ Cisco-related member blog posts, 100+ Champion posts on Cisco’s blogs in 2015 (≈44,000 hits and 8,000 social mentions) and 52 podcast episodes with 18,210 downloads.
