Brightpearl’s Advocate Community Drives Customer Success, Engagement and Positive Word of Mouth

Brightpearl, a cloud-based ERP for retail management, faced a reputation problem: a handful of negative reviews on popular tech sites were derailing deals and creating friction for sales, even though most customers were satisfied. Leadership recognized that the voices of happy customers weren’t being heard and needed a way to surface positive experiences and contain public complaints.

Brightpearl launched the Commerce Acceleration Zone on Influitive’s AdvocateHub and later added a customer community to engage advocates with challenges, content sharing, referrals, and private feedback threads. Within a year the program generated 740 advocates, 18,000 advocacy activities, 2,443 social shares, 26 referral leads and 70 positive reviews (with strong early community engagement and a 50% repeat participation rate), reversing review trends, improving product feedback and peer support, and reducing public complaints.
