Mountain Dew (PepsiCo) needed a way to deepen brand affinity and directly engage loyal fans in a vibrant, on‑brand community that could scale content consumption, social sharing, product feedback and peer interaction. The challenge was creating a hub that matched Mountain Dew’s personality while motivating fans to participate and advocate consistently.
Using Influitive, Mountain Dew launched DEW® Nation HQ — a gamified fan portal with challenges, points and rewards to drive activity. In the first 100 days the program attracted 15,936 joined advocates (9,446 engaged), generated 190,371 acts of advocacy and 224,150 challenges completed, redeemed 147,475 points, produced 9,124 discussion replies, 6,279 social shares and 818 referrals.
