How Capgemini Leveraged iMocha Assessments to Optimize Technical Recruitment Process

Capgemini, a global consulting and technology services firm, faced the challenge of creating a standardized, predictable recruitment process to improve its interview-to-hire outcomes while sourcing junior software developers. Using iMocha assessments for over two years, Capgemini applied a “working backwards” approach to define targets (e.g., 300 applications → 150 screened → 80 interviewed → 10 hired) and sought to calibrate tests to reliably identify candidates who would succeed in interviews and on the job.

Using iMocha’s test analytics and support from the iMocha customer success team, Capgemini first ran a combined MCQ+coding assessment (500 evaluated → 80 interviewed → 10 hired, with hires coming from those scoring higher in coding) and then switched to a coding-only test for the next hiring drive (200 evaluated → 60 shortlisted → 8 hired). The calibration with iMocha led to a predictable, repeatable recruitment funnel and measurable improvements in the quality and conversion of shortlisted candidates.
