Pharmacy2U, the UK’s largest dedicated online pharmacy with over 570,000 patients, wanted to find new ways to engage patients and improve acquisition and retention. Working with IMImobile and O2, the company trialed Webex CPaaS Solutions’ Rich Communication Services (RCS) technology to create more intuitive mobile experiences for patients.

IMImobile helped Pharmacy2U deploy RCS messaging that patients could understand immediately, without needing an explanation. The results were strong, with RCS driving greatly improved response rates compared with email and SMS, and the better KPI performance helped offset initial costs while also re-engaging previous patients. Pharmacy2U now plans to expand the RCS service to all eligible patients and explore additional use cases.
