UserTesting, a Mountain View–based company founded in 2008 that provides real-time customer feedback on products, grew rapidly from 28 to about 300 employees across three locations. That expansion made it harder to maintain their five core values and start-up culture: employees were becoming siloed, onboarding was getting unwieldy, and ad hoc tools (email, Slack, Google apps) no longer provided a central place for connection and knowledge.
UserTesting implemented the Igloo intranet — an easy-to-manage, customizable platform with strong search and self-service onboarding — rolled out in roughly three months with vendor support. Today employees use Igloo daily for team pages, onboarding, internal news, clubs and events; the intranet simplified new-hire ramp-up, centralized documentation, boosted engagement across locations, and helped preserve the company’s culture during rapid growth.
