Case Study: M.Video achieves unified asset management and IT process automation with IFS assyst

A IFS assyst Case Study

Preview of the M.Video Case Study

Leading Russian retailer mitigates risks and automates business processes with assyst

M.Video, one of Russia’s leading consumer‑electronics retailers with 340 stores in 146 cities and 17,000 employees, faced fragmented IT support: legacy Lotus Domino and in‑house tools gave poor auditability and reporting, HP OpenView was being retired, and the company needed a robust CMDB, ITIL‑aligned processes and Russian language self‑service. To address these challenges M.Video selected IFS assyst (assyst) as its integrated ITSM platform.

IFS assyst was implemented by CROC to automate seven ITIL processes, build and populate a holistic CMDB integrated with SAP/HR, migrate Incident Management from HP OpenView, and integrate Avaya for call handling. The solution delivered asset information to all 17,000 users across 340 premises in 146 cities, automated 40 standard change requests, provided a Russian web self‑service portal and knowledge base, and improved reporting and change‑impact analysis—significantly reducing risk and improving operational efficiency for M.Video.
