Case Study: Cintas achieves improved IT visibility and reduced downtime with IFS assyst

A IFS assyst Case Study

Preview of the Cintas Case Study

Cintas implements a robust configuration management database (CMDB)

Cintas, a global provider of workplace safety and hygiene solutions with ~45,000 employees, faced fragmented IT asset records, undocumented configuration items and rising risk from limited visibility across 560 locations. To create a single source of truth and strengthen change, incident and problem management, Cintas partnered with IFS assyst to implement an enterprise service management solution and a phased configuration management database (CMDB) rollout.

IFS assyst worked with Cintas through a multi‑phase implementation (phase one ~6 months, phase two completed Nov 2022) to migrate data, define CI relationships and build automation; the CMDB now holds over 60,000 CIs. The IFS assyst solution delivered clearer infrastructure visibility, faster issue isolation, significantly improved MTTR, reduced administrative lookups from hours to minutes, and surfaced four additional major incidents so they could be resolved sooner — all contributing to lower downtime and better change effectiveness.
