Case Study: Proyecto FAST matures and validates startup ideas with IdeaScale

Proyecto FAST Emprendemooc Crowdsourcing Business Maturation

Proyecto FAST, launched in spring 2012 by the City of Seseña and the Center for Excellence in Spain, set out to help entrepreneurs refine their business ideas and reduce market risk. The program ran a 10-week MOOC that recruited 1,500 participants and focused the first four weeks on idea generation before moving participants into a collaborative, invitation-only community.

Proyecto FAST invited participants into the IdeaScale-powered Emprendemooc community to crowdsource feedback and apply Lean Startup testing. All 1,500 participants joined and collaborated, 43 ideas were evaluated, entrepreneurs gained global market insights at low cost, many improved their plans and joined the acceleration program, and two new start-ups were added to the Proyecto FAST portfolio.
