A IdeaScale Case Study

Product Ideas from Thousands of Employees

Citrix, a provider of secure mobile workspace software, has long maintained a company mandate to collect ideas from employees and external contributors to improve products and processes. They initially relied on email and a custom Access database to gather feedback, but both approaches proved difficult to scale, hard to analyze for themes, and costly to maintain.

Citrix implemented IdeaScale as a branded idea-management platform with custom fields to help experts evaluate submissions and promoted it via the company intranet and an Innovation Pathways site. Over two years the community grew to about 2,000 users and generated more than 1,800 ideas, evolving from incremental improvements toward more disruptive, market-changing proposals.
