Empowering Innovation Across Any Geography, Any Shift, Any Department

Winpak is a global packaging company with 12 North American manufacturing sites and 2,500 frontline employees. The innovation team, led by Manuel Moreno, faced a participation gap—hearing mostly the same voices from certain sites and shifts—and wanted a way to engage every employee across locations and schedules in shaping improvements.

They launched the 25hundred Innovators community on IdeaScale with targeted online and offline communications, focused challenge categories, a tiered review process (including Shark Tank–style executive pitches), and incentives for contributors. The program produced implemented, large-scale ideas that improved packaging, expanded use cases, and boosted efficiency, delivered winning submissions from multiple countries, and increased employee engagement and inclusion.
