Bayada Home Health Care Generating 100% Participation

BAYADA Home Health Care is a leading provider of in‑home nursing and personal care with more than 18,000 professionals across 260 offices in 25 states. In 2012 the COO challenged the organization to capture and scale the innovative ideas happening locally across those offices, tasking a small team to design a way to surface and share frontline improvements.

BAYADA launched BrightIdeas on the IdeaScale platform as a branded, pilot crowdsourcing community, promoted through email, print handouts, desktop wallpaper and an internal champion network. The customized site and three‑phase process (Collect → PrioriCze → Execute) engaged over 400 users who posted 110+ ideas, 730 comments and 2,000 votes, achieved 100% participation without incentives, introduced recognition and produced companywide changes (new social media guidelines, training, automated notifications, open house programs, etc.), with IdeaScale cited as a simple, cost‑effective foundation for ongoing innovation.
