Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust’s Kent Oncology Centre, a major acute hospital cancer service, needed a more reliable way to maintain document control and manage internal audits for its large, ISO 9001:2008‑certified Quality Management System—requirements that are mandatory for Radiotherapy and Medical Physics under the National Cancer Standards.

Ideagen’s Q-Pulse was rolled out across the Directorate, giving more than 1,000 users direct access to up‑to‑date management information, a “pyramid of permissions” and standardized document control. The system improved ease of access and compliance (supporting ISO 9001, CPA and Trust Clinical Governance), has been adopted by other departments, and was judged to be comprehensive, well‑structured, easy to use and customizable for wider NHS services.
