Blue1, a Finnish airline based at Helsinki‑Vantaa and part of the SAS Group, wanted to improve its aviation Safety Management System (SMS). As long‑time Q‑Pulse users they aimed to replace paper occurrence reports with electronic submissions and allow external partners to submit and view reports via the extranet—without exposing their Q‑Pulse web server.
Using Q‑Pulse web service APIs, Blue1 integrated reporting into its existing extranet so partners can submit occurrences directly into the SMS without needing Q‑Pulse knowledge or direct server access. The integration eliminated paper forms, streamlined reporting and enabled partner visibility, delivering faster, more effective reporting and contributing to improved safety management across the airline.
