Ideagen Clinical Portal helps Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust Improve Patient Care Quality and Safety

Ideagen’s Clinical Portal was selected by Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust to support its ambition to be paper‑light/paperless at the point of care and to provide a single consolidated “go to” system for clinicians. The Trust needed enterprise scanning, legacy capture and reformatting, integrated order communications and results workflows, and a federated view of imaging, pathology and other systems to improve safety, outcomes and reduce storage and administrative overheads.

Ideagen delivered QScan, the Carousel viewer, open APIs and order‑comms integration, going live with emergency admissions in November 2015 and outpatient clinics shortly after. The Portal federated multiple systems, enabled urgent result notifications and self‑service integrations (GP records, pathology, pharmacy, theatres), avoided clinic capacity loss during rollout, freed medical records storage for clinical use, and delivered measurable improvements in patient safety, outcomes and operational efficiency.
